WHAT IS BENTLEY MAX?
Bentley Max is an invitation to people living in Bentley and the Bentley area to imagine life the best that it could be, sometime in the future, the best of Bentley.
Through our FREE DROP-INS and WORKSHOPS and the OPEN CALL for Tiny Plays, we will help you create a range of visions for an imagined BENTLEY, one set in the future, the best that BENTLEY could be.
It’s a bit like the real BENTLEY but as brilliant as your imagination can make it.
THE PLAYS WILL BE PERFORMED FREE FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY IN BENTLEY ON 5TH NOVEMBER
WHAT IS A TINY PLAY?
Tiny Plays can be as short as three words and no longer than three minutes with up to 3 actors.
The theme is the BEST THAT BENTLEY CAN BE.
It’s very easy to say what you don’t like about something, much harder and more fun to imagine it exactly as you would like it to be.
Anyone can write a tiny play – especially people who have never written a play before.

WHO WILL PERFORM THE TINY PLAYS?
The plays will be performed by professional actors based in the local area (If that’s you, please send your CV to email@example.com,uk by 1st October 2015).

WHO WILL CHOOSE THE TINY PLAYS?
We aim to perform as many of the plays as we can fit into the time available. If we have too many, all of the tiny plays will be published on our BLOG and filmed digitally, available on YOUTUBE.
The plays to be performed on 5th November will be chosen by our artistic Director, Rebecca Manson Jones and a group of volunteers who have taken part in the workshops.
We will be on the look out for plays which best reflect the theme and spirit of BENTLEY MAX, not necessarily the best plays.
WHEN & WHERE WILL THE BENTLEY MAX TINY PLAYS BE PERFORMED?
BENTLEY MAX will be performed in a public venue in the centre of Bentley on Thursday 5th November 2015. For one night only. Details will be confirmed very soon
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE WORKSHOPS?
The workshops are free, fun and provide a gentle introduction into how to create a tiny script.
They will involve some practical exercises, some games, conversations with people and sharing of ideas; as well as thinking about characters, settings and events, dreaming up your own personal vision of BENTLEY MAX.
You can share your script and get feedback, or take it away and work on it at home/in secret. It’s up to you. You can come to one workshop or as many as you like. You can write at home using our resources here if workshops are not for you.
Most of the venues we use are wheelchair accessible but if you have other access requirements, do get in touch so that we can see how we can help you.
If you fancy helping choose the scripts for the evening and/or performing in public you can pick up tips about what will be involved at the workshops.
Check the blog for each workshop’s theme.

WHO IS INVOLVED?
BENTLEY MAX has been created by JUST JONES & funded by RIGHT Our Street. You can meet the team here.
Tiny Plays are a name given to very short plays by our friend Ros Philips (RT Productions) who first worked with them at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow and lent the format to us for the BENTLEY MAX project. The positive resolution springs from the BROCKLEY MORE project, where we worked together to celebrate a neighbourhood.
